SCA Brings People Power to Legislative Forum

WICHITA, KS - The South Central Kansas Legislative Delegation held their first public forum for legislative session. These forums are attended by area legislators and provide an opportunity for the public to take 2 minutes at the mic  to speak their minds on issues that matter to them.

SCA prepared 14 speakers to address the legislators on jobs and worker rights, immigrant rights, and voter restrictions. Our speakers were backed by a charged up group of 100 Sunflower members wearing bright yellow SCA armbands. Before our speakers were done, everyone in the room was on their feet chanting “put people first!” I think we got our message out there.
