We believe that a truly empowered community must be socially conscious in order to take action when needed. Action may come through voting or through other means of giving back to their community.
Using methods of popular education we engage our community in conversations about the issues we are facing and their root causes. Through a process of house meetings, they talk about possible solutions, come to a collective narrative and talk about how they can become involved and make a difference. House meetings are an ongoing program area of Sunflower.
